Biography

Hunter Hoffman is an actor/writer/musician based out of New York City and graduate of The Neighborhood Playhouse. Hunter most recently played the role of "Will Shakespeare" in New Stage Theatre's production of Shakespeare in Love and was also the understudy for the role of “Jason” in the Tony nominated, Pulitzer Prize winning Broadway production of Sweat by Lynn Nottage, directed by Kate Whorisky. Other New York Credits include Troilus and Cressida (Shakespeare in The Park/Public Theater), Merchant of Venice (Gallery Players), Much Ado About Nothing, Romeo and Juliet (South Brooklyn Shakespeare), Golden Boy (Secret Theater), and Prince of Players (Little Opera Theatre of NY). Hunter also appeared as a stage fighter in the productions of Otello and Manon Lescaut at The Metropolitan Opera. His film credits include Real Dreams (Big Apple Film Festival Selection), Hunting Season (Indie Series Awards – Best Ensemble Cast - Comedy), Cross Training: The Series (New York Short Film Festival Selection) and The Attraction of Nipples. Alongside director, Blake Rice, and cast member, Ricky Ryan, Hunter is also co-host of The Cold Read Podcast, a weekly podcast where hosts write a brand new screenplay and invite special guests to come read the script, totally cold. The Cold Read is available on iTunes and Soundcloud.
